Well Dermatology Clinic Director Choi Won-woo Performs Live Thermage FLX Anti-Aging Procedure at Academic Seminar

2022.07.05

[mdtoday = Reporter Kim Jun-su] On June 11, a Thermage FLX academic seminar titled 'Train The Trainer (TTT)' was held at the Apgujeong main branch of Wells Dermatology Clinic.

At the Thermage TTT event — an academic gathering for dermatology specialists — Director Choi Won-woo conducted a hands-on live procedure based on his extensive clinical experience with Thermage treatments built up since opening the clinic in 2008. He also delivered a lecture offering a fresh perspective on Thermage FLX, followed by a Q&A session.

Director Choi stated: "Thermage is capable of cooling the epidermis even while heat is being delivered, thereby protecting skin cells and reducing pain at the same time. Because Thermage FLX delivers radiofrequency energy deep into the skin through the principle of reverse thermal gradient, it should not be limited simply to elasticity treatment but should be viewed more broadly as a comprehensive anti-aging treatment for the skin overall."

Meanwhile, 'Thermage-TTT' is an academic event that shares specialized knowledge on Thermage FLX with dermatology specialists. It is organized by Bausch Health Korea Solta Medical, the parent company of Thermage, and continues to be held within medical institutions.

The event is structured in two sessions — an academic lecture and a 'Hands-on Procedure' session where treatment techniques guided by established protocols are shared — and clinical know-how is conveyed through live on-site demonstrations. It is planned to continue on an ongoing basis to enable more Thermage users to utilize the product more safely and effectively.
